Pack sign two

Tryout player earns contract

The Green Bay Packers added two players to the roster today, including one who attended last weekend's rookie mini-camp on a tryout basis.

Wide Receiver Darrius Shepherd was among 20 tryout players in town. Shepherd is a rookie from North Dakota State who played in 57 games with the Bisons.  He caught 188 passes for 2841 yards and 20 touchdowns.  He also rushed the ball 31 times for 219 yards and averaged 13.1 yards on punt returns with one touchdown.

The Packers also signed Chandon Sullivan, a second year defensive back who signed with Philadelphia last year as an undrafted free agent from Georgia State.   He split time on the practice squad and active roster, appearing in five games with one start, recording 11 tackles with one pass defensed.
