VILLAGE OF WESTON, WI (WSAU) -- The Village of Weston and Advanced Disposal Services are one step closer to a new seven-year contract for residential refuse and recycling services after the village Public Works and Utility Committee recommended the contract go to the full board on Monday.
Public Works Director and Acting Administrator Keith Donner said ADS was chosen to receive the contract this summer after a bidding process.
"Advanced has been working with us for many, many years," said Donner. "They've been providing excellent service to the village, and that was one reason we elected to stay with them."
As part of the new contract Donner says they will be adding a second large-item drop off event in the fall. Under previous agreements, there had been just one such event in the summer.
Donner says if approved by the full Board of Trustees, ADS would remain the garbage collector for all residential homes in Weston along with multi-family housing units that have up to for units in them.
