NEILLSVILLE, WI (WSAU-WDLB) -- The state's biggest farm technology show will be coming back to Central Wisconsin in less than 4 years.
The Board of Directors of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days has announced that Clark County will host the event in the summer of 2022 after Marshfield hosted the event this year.
Chuck Rueth of Loyal led the effort to apply for the show and told WDLB Radio in Marshfield that it was time to bring the show back to one of the state's largest dairy-producing counties for the first time since 2005. Rueth served as executive chairman of that show.
Rueth says an executive committee will now be formed to begin planning the logistics of hosting the event. A call for potential host sites will be put out beginning next summer.
The 2019 Farm Tech Days will be hosted in Jefferson County at Walter's Grain Farm near Johnson Creek. In 2020 the show goes to Eau Claire County's Huntsinger Farms. Then in 2021, the show returns to Jefferson County to be hosted at the county fairgrounds.
