MOSINEE, W (WSAU-WAOW) Mosinee schools were in a soft lockdown this morning after a threatening social media post.
Interim Superintendent John Burnett told WAOW TV that they do not believe the threat was credible. He also said they didn't have an identity of the poster or even if it was a student.
Extra police officers were on school grounds as the investigation continues. The district says it takes threats like this seriously and will continue on lockdown until they are able to trace the post.
The message reportedly originated from a Snapchat posting.
Classes are going on as normal, but school officials say if parents want to they can pick their students up.
